Castelrotto, the most famous destination in the holiday region
On the Seiser Alm, lies probably one of the most famous places in the Dolomites: Castelrotto. This lovely resort town has much to offer. It is not only hikers and nature lovers that visit here, but also culture lovers and families.
In winter, Castelrotto in the Dolomites, Italy, turns into a family-friendly ski resort, and it even has a fun park. Whether for sledging, walking by foot or with snowshoes - the region is just waiting to be discovered by winter walkers. In addition, the resort town has an excellent trail network that will delight cross-country skiers.
Kastelruth in Italy consists of the main town, plus 11 other hamlets, distributed throughout the region. The numerous farms, which are littered throughout the area are also characteristic of the region. Another highlight: Schlern - Rosengarten nature park, which is spread over Castelrotto, Völs am Schlern and tiers.
Customs and tradition have an important role to play in Castelrotto in South Tyrol, especially the Oswald von Wolkenstein ride, which is held in the villages at the foot of the Schlern, and enjoys great popularity.
