Summer or winter, you can read all about the wide range of Dolomites sports and leisure programmes on offer the whole year round. No chance of getting bored!
Hiking enthusiasts are already aware: The "pale mountains", as the Dolomites are also known, are a climbing and mountaineering paradise par excellence. With world-famous rock formations, such as the enchanting Three Peaks as a backdrop - what more could you want?
But the Dolomites, which were declared a World Natural Heritage Site in 2009, have much more to offer. Whilst in summer, cycling, mountain biking and rafting are on offer in the Dolomite regions, winter is perfect for skiing holidays. An overwhelmingly diverse range of slopes, ranging from family-friendly trails to spectacular ski roundtrips such as the Sella Ronda, to relaxing winter hikes past snowy alpine huts and frozen mountain lakes, impress the numerous visitors to the region, year after year.
