Luson / Lüsen – an oasis of peace and relaxation

Nature at its best and hiking, both play a prominent role here

"The most beautiful hiking valley in South Tyrol" - is what Luson is called by many in Italy, because this picturesque village is considered to be an undisputed and unique hiking paradise. The imposing Peitlerkofel at the end of the enchanting valley emphasises this.

Forests, grape vines and meadows at the entrance to the valley, bizarre Dolomite peaks further back in the valley, colourful blooming flowers, rare herbs, clear streams - its natural landscape could hardly be more diverse. Even without hiking shoes and rucksacks, a holiday in Luson can still be active and exciting. You can cycle, play tennis, swim, go horseback riding - for a change.

And in the winter months? Then Luson becomes a small, but beautiful winter paradise. Tobogganing, skiing, cross-country skiing and of course lots of opportunities for snow shoe and winter hiking are all right here.

You will soon realise: you can encounter natural beauties in Luson all year round.

Natural bathing pond in Luson

This natural bathing pond is located on the outskirts of Luson and is always worth a visit, either on the way home from an eventful hiking day or as a destination for a full-day family outing. While the little ones rush down the water slide, parents can cool off in the spring water or sunbathe on the sunbathing lawn. The water in the natural bathing pond is purified purely biologically, which is why bathing in this outdoor pool is also suitable for allergy sufferers and those with sensitive skin.
